Frequently asked questions

Before starting a web project — whether a simple business website or an online store — there is always a set of questions that would make planning easier if you had the answers. We have gathered the most frequent ones on this page.

Why does my business need a website, an online store or a web application?

For most people, the internet is the first place they look for information about a company, a product or a service. A well-built website shows them quickly who you are, what you offer, and how they can get in touch.

A business website, an online store or an application makes your business easier to find and gives it a coherent, credible image. At the same time, it lets you present what you offer in detail, set yourself apart from the competition, and turn a visitor’s interest into an enquiry or an order.

Why do I need an online presence if my business is already doing well?

It is precisely when a business is doing well that it is worth consolidating what you have built. An up-to-date website inspires confidence, answers questions before the first contact, and helps new customers find you when they search for exactly the services you provide.

A solid online presence does not replace referrals or existing relationships — it supports them. It shows that the company is active, mindful of its image, and ready for the next stage of growth.

How much does a business website cost?

The cost depends on the structure, the features, the volume of content and the level of customisation. A business website, an online store and a web application can start from completely different needs, even when they look similar at first glance.

That is why we set the price after a conversation and a clear analysis of the project. You get a proposal that explains what we are building, in what stages, and what budget it implies — before any work begins.

What are the stages of a web project?

A good project is built in clear stages, and each stage has a result you can see and approve:

  • we talk about the business, the audience, the objectives and the context;
  • we define the structure, the content and the features;
  • we prepare the visual direction and the mockups, in keeping with the brand;
  • we implement the design, the CMS and the agreed features;
  • we test the project on the relevant devices and browsers;
  • once approved, we publish it on the final domain.
Will the design be created from scratch, or will it start from a template?

We can create the design entirely in-house, or we can start from a carefully chosen template. The decision is made together, at the planning stage, according to the objectives, the deadline and the budget.

Using a template does not mean the project will look like a copy. We adapt it to the brand’s identity, to the content and to the features required, so that the result has a presence of its own.

Does digitalART also provide hosting for the web projects it builds?

Yes. We provide hosting for projects built or managed by our team, rather than as a separate service for any website. The servers sit in two data centres in Romania and host only projects we have technical control over.

We chose this model so we can answer properly for performance, security and support. The package is configured for the needs of the project, not chosen on lowest price alone.

Will I be able to see the project while it is being developed, before it goes live?

Yes. The project is developed on the final domain or in a separate working environment, which you get access to as it progresses. You can watch it take shape, check the changes, and give feedback at every important stage.

We work transparently precisely so that decisions are made in good time rather than at the very end. Constant communication keeps the project aligned with the objectives we set together.

What material do I need to prepare for the project?

We need the basic information about the business, the services, the products and the audience you are speaking to. If you are not taking the copywriting service, you will also send us the final text. If we write it, your material gives us the starting point and the right context.

You know the business best; we help you organise the information into a structure that is clear for visitors. On request, we can correct and improve the text you send, or develop the content in full through our copywriting service.

If you do not have suitable photographs, we can select images from professional libraries. The licences are purchased separately, in the name of the company that will use them.

Can I change the content myself after launch?

Yes. The project includes a CMS and an admin panel from which you can edit, add or delete text, images, pages and video. On handover we train the people who will be using it.

Structural elements or complex features may need a designer or a developer, but the day-to-day content stays under your control.

If you would rather we handled it, we can set up a monthly subscription for content management, technical maintenance, security updates and support. The package is adapted to the complexity of the project and the volume of work.

How long does a web project take? Can you estimate that at the outset?

The duration depends on complexity, the volume of content and the features involved. After the analysis we set a working timetable, though it can change when the requirements change or when feedback and material arrive late.

  • changing the structure after the plan has been approved;
  • adding new modules or features;
  • delays in the material we need;
  • feedback sent later than the agreed deadlines.

As a guide, indicative timescales are:

  • Simple business website: ~2 weeks
  • Complex business website: 3–4 weeks
  • Product catalogue: 4–6 weeks
  • Online store: 6–8 weeks
  • SEO for a website or online store: 30–90 days
I need a web page urgently. Can you help?

We can look at the situation and, if the schedule allows, quickly prepare a simple page or a minimal version to get you online. Urgent work carries an additional cost, because it changes the team’s timetable.

A complex project cannot responsibly be compressed into a week. Analysis, design, development and testing all take time, so we will propose a realistic solution rather than promise the impossible.

How can we work together if our business is in another county or another country? Is remote collaboration possible?

Yes. We work efficiently with companies across Romania and abroad. Discussions, presentations and feedback can all be handled by email, WhatsApp, phone or video call, and the project can be followed online throughout its development.

Distance changes neither the process nor your access to the team. We agree the communication channels, the stages and the approval points at the outset.

Is the work covered by a contract? Are you a sole trader or a company?

Yes. We work under contract with individuals, sole traders, NGOs and companies. Once the project has been analysed and the budget, terms and deadlines approved, we sign the contract and the annexes describing the services included.

The contract protects both parties and remains the basis of the relationship, including for services after launch.

Will the site be optimised for search engines?

Yes. The projects are built on a technical structure suited to indexing: clear pages, clean URLs, metadata, performance and content that is easy to work through.

Optimising for particular keywords is a separate service. We analyse the relevant searches and the competition, then agree a realistic content and optimisation strategy together.
