ctbike — bike rental in Constanța

„Bike Rent. City Smart.” — ctbike says in three words what it does, and in a few more how: bring your ID, leave with a bike. From Parcul Tăbăcăriei, on the lakeshore next to City Park Mall, it rents leisure bikes with no app, no account and no online booking. You pick your bike, pay at the counter and go.

The fleet is almost 100 city bikes, yellow or black, built for a ride rather than a race: a low frame that is easy to step onto, a front basket, an adjustable saddle, an upright position. For the little ones there are children’s bikes and a covered trailer that hooks onto the bike, so the whole family can come along. Pensioners ride for free, and if you get a puncture or the chain comes off in the first ten minutes, you come back and get another bike.

The city is half the story. Four routes start from the park and loop back to it: around Lake Tăbăcărie, along the seafront to Mamaia, through the old town past the Casino, and from Mamaia Nord up to Năvodari. Each has its own map, so anyone can set off alone, without a guide and without getting lost.

And beyond the rental, ctbike has an idea the site states plainly: put the screen down and take the handlebars. Ten minutes of pedalling, they say, beat an hour of scrolling — and children remember the rides, not the tablets.

The site had to be as simple as the service: the fleet, the routes, answers to the questions people ask before setting off, the seasonal opening from March to November, and a phone call or a WhatsApp message one tap away.
