The catalogue is split across the company’s three fields — industrial, marine and explosion-proof — covering lighting, switchgear, cable glands, junction boxes and enclosures, each with their own subcategories.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Emco Star has traded in electrical products since July 1996. Today it imports and distributes specialist equipment across three fields: marine, industrial and explosion-proof.
The catalogue is the hard part of this project. A single term — cable glands — covers polyamide, metal, stainless steel, EMC, ventilation, railway and ultra-flat versions for extreme temperatures, plus reducers, adapters, plugs and locknuts. And that is one branch out of three. The shop is organised by field rather than by product type, because a buyer knows first whether they are working on a ship or in a plant.
Within each field the categories go down to the level where people actually search: linear, circular and street LED lamps, floodlights; container sockets and lighting for naval vessels; emergency lighting and warning systems for hazardous areas. The site also carries the certificates, the partners and a customer account.
